Rummaging through some stuff at my parent’s house, I found a certificate my sister received in elementary school
According to Kathryn’s teacher, you should apparently always keep your love of reading tight!
Share ThisThe condition for the continuance of my membership in the online brah.community has been fully illustrated. It has been highly recommended, by the powers that be, that I start posting. And frankly I can not argue with such a plea since it does at least make slight sense. Notably I have nearly, pretty much completely, disappeared from the old world. So at least monthly, as it has been stipulated, I must make a post. My monthly posts will contain a photo of the month and some, albeit often brief, coherent explanation. If I start to fade in my duties, please make it yours to remind me…
This month’s picture is from Topsail Beach, NC during a photography session with Surf Camp Inc... The storm rolled in and I was in the water with my camera. The lighting is really dramatic and the raindrops look really nice.

Otherwise life is passing nicely. I am living on the beach and the livin’ is easy…
Share ThisAlong with a new look and feel of brahblog, Jenni and I recently moved to Fort Worth, TX. Jenni is working for Beck, and I just today accepted an offer from Lockheed Martin Aeronautics. Jenni started on the 11th of June, and I should be starting shortly, until then, I guess she is my sugar mama.
So if you are in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, give us a call, drop on by! Chad is supposed to be visiting in July and we are really excited to suffer the Texas heat with another Michigander.

Share ThisUnfortunately I was unable to upgrade to the latest version of LifeType successfully nor was I able to migrate the old posts into a fresh install. Perhaps if I was willing to spend several more hours at it… well, no thank you!
LifeType is a fine system, however, WordPress is very slick! It is beyond compare in usability, capability, and quality. Losing the old content was a perfect excuse to switch. Plus, software development is supported by a commercial venture, wordpress.com, ensuring long term viability and continued innovation.
I wish the folks at LifeType the best - developer support is good on the forums and the project has potential. I especially like their theme (template) engine, which uses smarty, over WordPress’s. However, on whole it just doesn’t have the polish of WordPress nor the vast community support and immense number of themes, plugins, and widgets, etc. available. It basically came down to a matter of time and capability, and WordPress gives me a lot more of that.
Well, I hope you enjoy the new setup as much as I do! It really is a pleasure to use - heck, maybe I’ll even post more frequently! Don’t worry, though, you can still find the old brah.blog at lifetype.brahblog.com (right now it’s messed up but I’ll set up the old version of LifeType with all the old content again soon).
