I suppose that is better than the lake being too low.

It’s a bit hard to tell perspective in the second picture – are most beaches on Lake Michigan now much smaller, or did this one get hit hard?

I heard that they are all smaller. Basically the water level rose. I mean what was 50 feet of beach at this time last year (from that post to the average wave) is now nothing. In fact there is a ridge where it eroded up to the grass.
